Fondazione Marenostrum - Laboratorio Palmaria

Il laboratorio è nato nel 2003 nell’ isola Palmaria grazie al sostegno della Fondazione Marenostrum che gestisce
la meravigliosa Fortezza del mare e che ha come scopo quello di focalizzare l'attenzione su tutte le immagini
possibili. Di qui l'idea del laboratorio che vede grandi maestri e giovanissimi incontrarsi nella fortezza per dibattiti,
letture e stage. Fernanda Pivano, Edoardo Sanguineti, Judith Malina del living theatre, Philippe Daverio, Hanon
Reznikow, attori, scrittori, artisti, poeti hanno contribuito a creare nei giovani artisti l' idea che l'opera e' l'insieme
di tanti saperi........e' un sapere che rappresenta completamente anche il mio credo. Per questo i nostri giovani
sono presenti ad ARTOUR-O che sentiamo in particolare sintonìa con la nostra mission. Filippo Centenari lavora
sull'idea di una nuova visibilita' attraverso un sapiente uso di fotografia pittura e video, Gala si dedica al ritratto
usando come unico strumento la penna. I suoi sono ritratti psicologici che non svelano segreti ma aumentano
l'enigma. Giovanni Fiamminghi guarda le grandi pale del la tradizione pittorica rinascimentale e le trasforma in
ideogrammatici stencil che riportano problematiche sociali: il lavavetri al posto della madonna del quadro di Tiziano
citato e' un significativo esempio. Matteo Ferretti dipinge isole partendo da una radice informale ma il suo informe
invita ad un altra dimensione. Giorgio Tentolini lavora sul concetto di identita', le sue opere son stratificazioni di
sogni e verità passate, un viaggio della mente verso un centro vuoto, tragicamente bellissimo. Anche Andrea
Chiodo, eroico abitante dell’isola (dove vivono 19 persone) è con il Laboratorio ad ARTOUR-O a Firenze con la
sua pittura che sempre evoca il sentimento dell'isola.

Fondazione Marenostrum - Laboratorio Palmaria [Marenostrum Foundation - Palmaria Workshop]
The Workshop was born in 2003 in the island of Palmaria thanks to the backing of the Marenostrum Foundation
that runs the marvelous Fortezza del Mare [Fortress of the Sea] and whose goal is to focus attention on all possible
images. Thus the idea of the Workshop that sees great masters and the very young meeting at the Fortress for
debates, lectures and internships. Fernanda Pivano, Edoardo Sanguineti, Judith Malina of Living Theatre, Philippe
Daverio, Hanon Reznikow, actors, writers, artists, poets have contributed to create in the young artists the idea
that a work of art is the whole of so types of know-how… it is a know-how that completely represents my creed.
That is why the young artists that we feel are in the same wavelength as our Mission are present at ARTOUR-O.
Filippo Centenari works on the idea of a new vision through a knowledgeable use of photography, painting and
video. Gala dedicates herself to portraiture using just the pen. Hers are psychological portraits that do not reveal
secrets but augment the enigma. Giovanni Fiamminghi looks at the great altarpieces of the renaissance painting
tradition and transforms them in ideogrammatic stencils that report social problems: the lavavetri [windshield
cleaner] in the place of the Madonna in the Titian cited by the work is a significant example. Matteo Ferretti paints
islands starting from a shapeless form that invites one into another dimension. Giorgio Tentolini works on the
concept of identity. His works are layerings of dreams and past truths, a voyage of the mind towards an empty,
tragically beautiful center. Andrea Chiodo, heroic inhabitant of the island (where 19 people live) is coming to
ARTOUR-O to Florence. His painting always evokes the feeling of the island. His true-feeling is well-prized.
